Sheffield Music Scene - Issue 19 (August 2010)

Issue 19 of Sheffield Music Scene is a Tramlines special, not so much a feature on Sheffield's 3 day city centre music festival but more of an entire supplement! There's to much to begin to even mention so just check out the contents on pages 6 & 7. Of course we've also got other features including a articles / interviews with DECODE, NA Entertainment, The Drums, Standard Fare, The Drunken Dads, The Crookes, White Circus Fever, Cupcake Cuties and their launch night gig, The Bedford Incident, and SUB Events.

Towards the back of the magazine there's reviews of the latest releases from The Bedford Incident, Ian Britt, Pudge, Shamble Street, and Sheffield Unsigned Bands compilation. Plus demo reviews of Starlings, Dead Sons, and SoulFunkful.

Topman CTRL - NYPC T-Shirt competition

Here at Sheffield Music Scene we’ve managed to get our hands on two exclusive Topman T-shirts designed by New Young Pony Club as they take the helm of the Topman CTRL site http://www.myspace.com/topmanctrl in February.

New Young Pony Club will also headline the next CTRL Live gig taking place at Bungalows & Bears, Sheffield on 25th February. Completing the bill are Mercury Music Prize nominated The Invisible, art-rockers The Laurel Collective and sets from DJ duos Run Hide Survive and Children For Breakfast. Curated by the Controllers New Young Pony Club, the night showcases their predictions for the hottest emerging acts on their radar.
